TEACh* Foundation (The Endowment for the Advancement of Children) was chosen as the beneficiary for the evening's proceeds.  The timing for this funding for our local schools couldn’t be more fortuitous with the recent statewide budget cuts.  The TEACh* Foundation goal is to build a permanent endowment that will directly be distributed to the San Luis Coastal Unified School District – the funds support all schools grades k-12 in San Luis Coastal Unified. “The money raised will go directly to the classroom, allowing students to participate in programs that they may not normally be able to receive,” Maria Slavin, TEACh Foundation President, said. “Our mission statement is, a quality education is a lifetime Gift .We hope the endowment will continue to grow even after we are a all long gone,” commented Ms.Slavin.
