Pinot Noir Stone Lion 2016
This wine is a named after the stone lion statue discovered in the Moretti section of Tolosa estate vineyard, Edna Ranch. After selecting a series of small lots, the wine is blended to take on an earthy and bold profile while showcasing the finesse of Pinot Noir. The 2016 vintage was an ideal vintage, bringing rain and a traditional growing season which allowed the grapes to have a long hangtime on the vine to develop concentrated flavors. The wine fermented in open top fermentation tanks to allow a gentle fermentation process. The wine was aged for 9 months in 100% French oak barrels, with 30% of them being new.
