Petite Sirah 2020

Our small block of Clone 3 Petite Sirah lies in the Poletti Vineyard of Edna Ranch, tucked into the hills of the Santa Lucia Mountains. The site’s light, well-drained soils and low fertility, combined with Petite Sirah’s naturally long hang time, yield small berries packed with color and flavor. Aromas of black plum and blueberry mingle with dark earth, cocoa, fennel, and black pepper. The palate shows cassis, plum, leather, and fig with savory undertones, lifted by bright acidity and firm structure that promises longevity.  Braised short ribs would pair beautifully with this wine.
