Albatross Ridge Vineyard
Albatross Ridge Vineyard is perched on a mountaintop of ancient uplifted seabed with gravelly loam, limestone and shale soils similar to those found in Burgundy. Located only 9 miles from the Pacific Ocean, it has a long growing season with temperatures rarely exceeding 85 degrees. Elevation is approximately 1,200 feet. Exceptionally low yields between 0.5 to 1.0 tons per acre.
Bright red cherry color. Aromas of red cherry, cherry blossom with toasty notes. Flavors of raspberry, red currant, “Red Vines” finish with caramelized topping of crème brûlée.
