Drum Canyon Vineyard 2018 1.5L Magnum

In the Santa Rita Hills of Santa Barbara, it comes down to the right vineyards, and we found one of them. We are excited to introduce the first vintage of Drum Canyon Vineyard Pinot Noir to Tolosa’s Single Vineyard tier. The grapes are picked in small yellow bins to avoid undue pressure on the fruit. At the winery, they are sorted by a state-of-the-art optical sorting machine before fermenting in stainless steel open top tanks. The wine receives a softer fermentation to manage the tannin extraction and was aged for 9 months in a combination of new and neutral French oak barrels.

On the nose: Leading with rich earth notes balanced by a mix of black cherry, strawberry, pomegranate and blackberry

On the palate: Ripe strawberry, raspberry and boysenberry fruit flavors are balanced by a firm tannin structure
