Hollister-Edna Ranch 2019 1.5L Magnum

When it comes to focusing in on one of the best lots of Pinot Noir from Tolosa’s estate vineyard, Edna Ranch, we know the Hollister block can produce a wine to shatter competition with grace. The winemaking approach is to dissect this vineyard block by harvesting the middle, top, and bottom of the slope singly as they independently reach the ideal ripeness. Each section is fermented separately and aged in French oak barrels. We build the blend in the spring to highlight the true components of the Edna Valley terroir. This wine consistently finishes with long layers and the perfect combination of tension and structure.

On the nose:  Strawberry/black cherry sorbet with an undertone of blood orange. In addition,
mineral notes of crushed limestone and a hint of fresh thyme.

On the palate:  Very fresh and fragrant mouthfeel with a lot of floral notes, strawberry, rhubarb jam,
and nice chalky mineral notes. The acidity leaves your mouth watering for more!
